PET (polyethylene terephthalate) is a lightweight, recyclable thermoplastic. PET foam is a type of closed-cell thermoplastic structural foam with certain shear and compression strength. Therefore, it is often used as the core material of sandwich structural materials and is widely used in construction, highway transportation, rail transit, aviation, communication, wind power, etc. field.

Therefore, it is often used as the core material of sandwich structural materials and is widely used in construction, highway transportation, rail transit, aviation, communication, wind power, etc. field.

PET foam has the characteristics of high strength, high temperature resistance and low price. PET foam core material also has good fatigue resistance, which is better than some PVC foam core materials. Structural foam materials are mainly used in structural floors, roofs, side panels, and rear parts of rail transit vehicles. The main advantages are that they can reduce body weight, maintain heat, sound insulation, enhance safety, and save fuel costs. Structural foam materials are commonly used in shipbuilding for bottoms, decks and superstructures.

PET foam is a closed-cell thermoplastic structural foam suitable for all resin systems and process technologies. Has the following characteristics:

Convenient processing: Through thermoforming, complex shapes and structures can be achieved, and the thermal stability is good under heating.

Good mechanical properties: good shear and compression properties.

Reusable: During the production process, scraps and chips can be reused to make new materials.

Environmentally friendly: Traditional PET foam uses fluoride as a foaming agent during production, which will have a certain impact on the environment and human health. However, the latest PET foaming technology can use carbon dioxide generated during the production process as a foaming agent. Therefore, It can achieve zero emission of greenhouse gases and is very environmentally friendly.

High temperature resistance: It can withstand temperatures of around 150°C for a short time during processing, and can withstand temperatures of around 100°C for a long time during its service life.
